I used to work on the video side of post-production, while training in audio. I assisted Online Editors, VFX Artists and Colourists on some of the biggest TV shows at the time. My jobs included conforming offline edits back to the original camera rushes, managing colour and making sure the image was the best possible quality. Mainly working in DaVinci Resolve and Autodesk Flame, I helped deliver UHD HDR pictures, often in ACES colour space, to broadcasters and streaming platforms.
This gave me a huge insight into editing in all its forms, plus, kept my head engaged in technical workflow for TV post. It’s been a great foundation of experience.
